Weathermen forecast more rains next week

Bengaluru: Bengaluru has recorded highest rain fall in the month of November till date with the city receiving 338 mm rain fall between November 1 and 25. It was 61% over and above the normal rainfall. 
 
According to the meteorological department data, normal rain predicted for the city in the month of November was 209 mm. The previous record for highest rainfall for November in the city was 252.2 mm rain fall in the year 1916. In the last ten years, the city has consistently recorded rainfall over 200 mm.
 
More rains forecast: According to the forecast by the Met department, the city may experience moderate to rather heavy rain till the first week of the December. According to the weather warning, between December 1 and 3, the city is expected to get heavy rain at isolated places.
 
But for next two days till Monday (November 30), the city can enjoy clear blue skies. Fog or mist in the morning hours is also expected with temparatures expected to come down till 16 deg C.
 
Excess rainfall in state
According to the Met department data, most of the districts of the state have received excess rain fall between November 19 and 25. Districts which received excess rain fall includes Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Gadag, Koppal, Vijayapura, Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara and Tumakuru.
