Lakshmi to star opposite Jiiva?
Film will be directed by newcomer Muthukumar
Lakshmi Menon, who was last seen in the Ajith-starrer Vedalam, is becoming a busy bee these days. The actress, in fact, is considered a lucky charm of Kollywood and any film she works in, turns out to be a blockbuster, like Kumki. The latest we hear is that she has been approached to play the leading lady in Jiiva’s upcoming flick titled Gemini Ganesan, which will be directed by newcomer Muthukumar. PT Selvakumar will be bankrolling the film.
On the other hand, Lakshmi is currently busy with Jayam Ravi’s Miruthan, and Jiiva is presently shooting Pokkiri Raja with Hansika and Sibiraj. Sources say that once Jiiva (who’s awaiting the release of Thirunaal), completes Pokkiri Raja, he will begin shooting Gemini Ganesan. Meanwhile, previously, there were rumours that the makers were in talks with Tamannaah as well. If Lakshmi Menon signs the dotted line, it will be her first-time team up with Jiiva. Gemini Ganesan is billed as a romantic entertainer and the final cast and crew will be announced soon.
