Adani in race to bag port project

The tender conditions of INCAP include that the agency should have Rs 800 crore turnove

Hyderabad: Five top companies including the Adani group are in the race to bag the Rs 3,500 crore Bhavanapadu greenfield port in Srikakulam district. 
 
A high-level committee will meet on November 26 to finalise the tenders in the PPP mode for the port, the convention centre at Vijayawada, the integrated sports complex at Tirupati and others.
 
Fifteen agencies had responded to the Expression of Interest notice put up by the AP Infrastructure Corporation for the port, of whom 12 agencies have qualified. 
 
After approval of the government, a Request for Quotation was put up to which 10 agencies responded. After final evaluation, five companies are in the race: Aadani, Navayuga, Kakinada port, Gangavaram port and UTL Technologies.
