Complete primary assessment of crop loss: Chandrababu Naidu tells officials

CM also directed the officials to expedite the supply of essential commodities

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to complete the primary assessment of the crop loss caused by heavy rains in three districts of the state.

Naidu has asked the district collectors and agricultural officers to immediately complete the process of enumeration of crop loss through a video conference, an official release stated today.

The CM also directed the officials to expedite the supply of essential commodities to the victims in affected areas in Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa, which he is going to visit tomorrow.

The officials were also asked to reconstruct damaged roads and bridges on war footing to clear vehicular traffic on national highway between Gudur and Chennai, the release added.
