Andhra Pradesh ministers feel pressure on shift

Mr Naidu expressed displeasure at the ministers

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu is applying maximum pressure on ministers on the issue of shifting the administration to the capital region from Hyderabad. The CM has asked the ministers to take the responsibility of shifting the departments of their respective portfolios.

In a recent cabinet meeting Mr Naidu expressed displeasure at the ministers for their inaction in shifting the administration. He asked the ministers to take immediate steps on shifting the departments to the capital region. He categorically told the ministers by next June all the departments should work from the capital region. The ministers in turn are putting pressure on the  secretaries of their respective departments.

A minister from Guntur district asked the secretary of his department to shift the department to the capital region at the earliest. He said  the “CM is very serious on shifting the administration to the capital   region and he has asked the ministers to take responsibility of shifting the departments as early  as possible.” The minister asked the secretary to search for office accommodation and said that he is also searching.
