HyderabadHigh on confidence after winning the doubles title in the year ending WTA Finals in Singapore, Sania Mirza is on cloud nine and is raring to have a go at the next season.

“This year has been like a dream for us (Martina Hingis being the partner). We won two Grand Slams, the WTA Finals and have not lost a match since August,” the World No.1 said on the sidelines of a promotional event on Tuesday.

On being asked if she wanted to do something different in the upcoming season, Sania said: “I would definitely not want to change anything from this season. If we can replicate what we have achieved this year, it would be great. But we don’t want to rest on our laurels. We want to win a lot more titles.”

The WTA season has ended but Sania is already gearing up for the International Premier Tennis League which starts in December. “I have been in the city for the last five days and will soon start training for the IPTL,” the Hyderabadi said.
“But the real season starts next year with the Australian Open. I will take some time off before I start training for that,” she added.
