TG Venkatesh calls to allow bauxite mining

He said that the government should first bring the special package for AP

T.G. Venkatesh requested the government to bring the tribals into civic society instead of confining them in forests by giving them better financial aid.

Vijayawada: Former minister T.G. Venkatesh asked the government to allow bauxite mining. Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Mr Venkatesh requested the government to bring the tribals into civic society instead of confining them in forests by giving them better financial aid.

He said that the minerals in the forests could be utilised for the society. He also asked the government to set up a second capital in Rayalaseema districts to avoid the regional concerns and bifurcation demands in similar to Telangana.

He also said that the government should first bring the special package for AP and it would be most useful for Rayalaseema districts and northern Andhra states. The political parties should also fight for special status.
