Another bomb hoax in Madras High Court complex

Chennai: For the second time in three weeks, the Madras High Court received threatening letters and unidentified persons planted table clocks in the court premises to cause panic among litigants and advocates.
 
Staff members of the court located the crude devices near the Family court complex at 11 am. They found table clocks and threatening letters. Immediately, the Bomb Detection and Disposal squad rushed to the place and seized the devices.
 
In a letter, the unknown person alleged that large irregularities take places in the central prison. The personnel collect '500 from relatives of inmates detained in the prison for passing a cooked ‘chicken leg piece’ to them. The police arrest and detain innocent persons in prison. ‘Police’ Fakruddeen was assaulted by the jail authorities. The judiciary also do not take action against the personnel.
 
Later, a large number of police force posted in the campus.  The incident sent shock wave among the advocates. Similarly, on Sept. 29, police had found table clocks and threatening letters in two different places in the High Court campus.
