Bengaluru: 20-year-old booked under Pocso

Bengaluru: A 20-year-old youth was arrested on the charges of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl on the pretext of marrying her. The incident took place in Devasandra in K.R. Puram.
Asif Pasha, a resident of Devanasandra, is a worker in a meat stall and the victim’s neighbour. Investigations revealed that Pasha and the minor girl were reportedly in a relationship, and despite being warned by her parents, the girl continued meeting Pasha secretly.

About a week ago, Pasha and the minor allegedly eloped following which the parents of the victim filed a police case on October 8. The police traced the duo at Mulbagal. During the investigation it came to light that the minor had run away with her consent.
