Nethi Vidyasagar formally elected Council Deputy Chairman

Hyderabad: TRS MLC Nethi Vidyasagar was on Tuesday formally declared elected as Deputy Chairman of Telangana Legislative Council. A BC leader from Nalgonda Mr Vidyasagar, 59, was elected unanimously. Council Chairman Swami Goud announced the election.
 
Mr Goud, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiam Srihari, Mohammed Mahmood Ali, ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy, A. Jagdish Reddy, A. Indra Karan Reddy and others greeted Mr Vidyasagar on his election. 
“Election of Vidyasagar as Deputy Chairman has brought prestige to the Council. He has served the Council effectively after Telangana was born. Mr Vidyasagar started his career as student leader and grew step by step. He played an active role in the Telangana movement,” the Chief Minister said. 
Expressing faith in the leadership of Mr Vidyasagar, he said, “Bangaru Telangana can only be achieved when everyone moves in a responsible manner.”
 
Supporters burst crackers inside Assembly premises:
 
Supporters of TRS MLC Nethi Vidyasagar violated the rules of city police by entering into the Assembly premises with firecrackers in the form of a rally. However, no action was taken till the time of filing this report. Several party workers, mainly from Nalgonda district, walked unstopped into the Assembly compound and started bursting firecrackers, besides shouting slogans praising their leader. Orders prohibiting gatherings and bursting of firecrackers had been put in place in and around the Assembly premises by the Hyderabad police.
