Kanam Rajendran, CPI state secretary
Kottayam: The followers of Sree Narayana Guru will not  allow the ideals of Guru to be saffronised,  CPI  state secretary Kanam Rajendran said here on Thursday.

He was referring to the  move of  SNDP Yogam  general secretary Vellapally Natesan for a tie-up with the BJP.

Maintaining that that people belonging to the community organisations will not bow to  the dictates of their leaders,   he said that the Communist party always stood for the people regardless of caste, community or other considerations.

Referring to the alleged crucifixion of a tableau of Sree Narayana Guru by the CPM activists, he said that it was not correct to denigrate  Guru.

Mr Kanam reiterated his stand that the minority communities in the state were  gradually being elevated to the position of majority.
