Rush to fill MBBS, BDS seats as deadline ends
The students allotted to these seats would have to immediately get admission to these colleges

Thiruvananthapuram: Medical and dental colleges are witnessing a last minute rush to fill vacant seats in BDS and MBBS courses as the dateline fixed by the MCI for medical and dental colleges is scheduled to end on Wednesday.
The Government was conducting a special allotment to the BDS course in the Government Dental College, Thrissur and the private self-financing Kannur Dental College, Anjarakandy, Kannur which got permissions to make the allotment in the last minute through a special allotment on the website cee-kerala.org.
The students who have already been allotted or admitted to MBBS and BDS courses will not be considered for this vacancy filling phase of allotment. The students allotted to these seats would have to immediately get admission to these colleges.
Meanwhile, students admitted to vacant seats in MBBS and /BDS seats in government medical and dental colleges and 50 MBBS seats in the private self-financing Malabar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kozhikode through the allo-tment published on September 27 will also have to join the college allotted before 5 pm on September 30.
The students who have been allotted Malabar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kozhikode should join the college or will be liable to pay the liquidated damages of Rs 10 lakh as envisaged under Clause 12.2.4 of the prospectus for professional college admission.
Candidates admitted in government or government controlled self-financing engineering colleges can accept the new allotment to MBBS and BDS courses only after paying the liquidated damages as per the prospectus.
Candidates admitted in private self-financing engineering colleges under the Kerala Catholic Engineering College Managements Association can accept the new allotment to MBBS and BDS courses subject to the conditions in GO(Ms) No. 252/2014/H.Edn.
The candidates admitted to other private self-financing engineering and architecture colleges who have been allotted to medical and allied courses through KEAM 2015 need not pay the liquidated damages.
However, the fees remitted for the year shall not be refunded. All details related to the allotment process are available on the website www.cee-kerala.org.
