Balaji all set to sign Irrfan and Tabu!

Their onscreen pairing has been stellar in film such as Maqbool and The Namesake, and they’ve also worked together in other projects — Life of Pi, Haider, Ghaath and Talvar.

Now, Irrfan Khan and Tabu have been cast yet again in a film that will be shot next year — Silver Jubilee, to be produced by Balaji Telefilms. A source close to the project told us: “Tabu and Irrfan have been finalised for the film, which will hit floors in 2016. The story depicts a married couple who have to work through their set of problems.”

As for who is directing the film, our source says, “Balaji has signed on Anurag Singh for the task — he is a very big director in the Punjabi film industry. This will mark his debut in Hindi movies. Ekta Kapoor loved the story and gave it her nod.”
