Ubisoft keeps throwing curve balls our way when it comes to Assassin’s Creed. Earlier, it was announced that Syndicate, the latest in the franchise was going to include naturalist Charles Darwin — the father of Evolution and renowned author Charles Dickens. These additions, while strange, is nothing new for the franchise as it is known to include prominent historical figures from the time it is set in.

However, the latest bit of news to have come out regarding the Assassin's Creed Syndicate Season Pass is interesting. It will include a segment where the players will join forces with Scotland Yard to track down one of history's most notorious serial killers, Jack The Ripper. This segment of the game will play out twenty years after the main story of the game.

While it has already been declared that we will be playing as Assassin Jacob Frye, who has been trained and prepped to take over the booming London underworld, it is still a mystery as to how he ends up working with Scotland Yard. The DLC is described as a ‘game of cat and mouse’ with the infamous killer, leading us to believe there might be a lot of moving about London as you solve puzzles.

The Jack The Ripper DLC will be available individually and as part of a Season Pass which will also include ‘The Last Maharaja mission pack’, The streets of London gameplay pack and some bonus weapons. Assassin's Creed Syndicate launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 23 October, 2015.
