Opposition leader KJ Jacob shifted to hospital

The CPM leader began the strike on Monday demanding a judicial probe into the Fort Kochi boat tragedy

KOCHI: Opposition leader in the council, K. J. Jacob, who has been on indefinite hunger strike for the last five days, was arrested and shifted to the hospital after his health condition worsened on Friday.

The CPM leader began the strike on Monday demanding a judicial probe into the Fort Kochi boat tragedy. CPM leader in the council K.N. Sunil Kumar has started a hunger strike in his place. CPI leader C.A. Shakeer is also on hunger strike from Monday.
