Guntur: Man ends life after police questioning

GUNTUR: Mystery shrouds the death of a 30-year-old man at his house in Santagudipadu village of Rompicherla mandal in this district, after he was grilled at the local police station in a theft case.

According to police, Guda Kotireddy committed suicide. However, his body was buried without any inquest and postmortem, raising suspicions.

Also, both his wife Mastanamma and son Sreenivasa Reddy, aged 11, appeared scared and were refusing to make any comment.

Rights activists alleged that police harassment resulted in the suicide, but cops took the line that the man ended his life due to personal and family reasons.
