COIMBATORE: A visually impaired special teacher on Monday urged the district collector, Archana Patnaik to take action against the school headmaster who tried to transfer him on ‘fake charges’.

In his petition, S. Loganathan (45), working as a special music teacher in CCMA government higher secondary school here referred to some news reports recently that he was punishing his students “badly, pulling their pony tails and pushed them out of the class.”

Denying these charges, he said that none of the Newspapers mentioned, “I am a visually impaired teacher who teaches music.”

They mentioned him as he was teaching some regular subject.

Referring to a host of other baseless charges against him and certain issues like salary fixation, Loganathan said when he questioned about this, the headmaster “Picks some quarrels and files fake charges against me.”

Stating that he had two children and was struggling to make both ends meet in life, he urged that society should consider differently-abled persons as special persons and not trouble them.
