The Lockhart, ironically is named after the character Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, possibly the worst Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher in the history of Potter’s magic school Hogwarts. The bar area is designed in such a way that it looks like a very modern apothecary, complete with a neon sign that features the final line of JK Rowling’s seventh novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

As expected, the menus boasts of potions and elixirs with names hinting towards Potterworld references, like the Befuddlement draft (which contains gin, vodka, peach schnapps, blue curacao, cherry brandy, triple sec, ginger ale) and Shacklebolt (house infused Gosling spiced rum, house made ginger beer, ginger ale, lime juice & garnish, ginger bitter.)

Co-owner and Harry Potter fan Paris Xerx says, “You’d come here and see the stag’s head on the wall and go ‘Wow, I love that’, but a Harry Potter fan might say ‘That’s a Patronus’,” as reported by the New Toronto.
