Pinarayi Vijayan flays SNDP ‘surrendering to communal outfits’

Kozhikode: “Some people are trying to surrender the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru and SNDP Yogam to communal forces for financial gains and winning power,” according to CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan.
He was inaugurating an anti- communal seminar organised by Keluettan Study Centre here on Thursday.
Attacking the SNDP Yogam leadership for its leaning towards the RSS and the BJP, Mr Vijayan said that the Yogam was meant to uphold the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru.
“But sadly the present Yogam leadership is surrendering the doctrines of Guru to the communal elements for short-term benefits,” he said.
“If it was wrong to criticise the SNDP leadership for its inclination towards Sangh Parivar, the CPM will repeat it over thousand times,” he said.
On the agenda of RSS, he said that the organization had done nothing so far for the social development of the state.
“The RSS can never claim any share in the social reformation that took place in the state and still they do not consider members of some lower community as even human beings,” he added.
