Adding to the long list of Mollywood girls making it big in Tamil cinema is Samskruthy who is trying her luck in K’town with a movie titled Sethu Bhoomi. She is paired opposite Thaman whose earlier films are Sattam Oru Iruttarai and Thottaal Thodarum.

Directed by Kendiran Muniyasamy who directed Ayyan, which was talked about for its soul stirring music by Ilaiyaraaja, the plot of Sethu Bhoomi revolves around the life of people of Ramanathapuram. The director has portrayed every character in a realistic manner, claims its makers.

Samskruthy has a few Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films to her credit. The bubbly actress was to debut with Sasikumar’s Kutty Puli, but had to back out from the project, since she had exams that time. She then debuted with a Viddarth film Kaadu, which sank without a trace.

“I have a strong role in Sethu Bhoomi. There’s a lot of scope for me to perform as well,” Samskruty tells DC. The chirpy girl hopes that she will create a buzz in Tamil cinema like her peers from the Malayalam industry have.
