The film is all set to hit theatres nationwide on September 18.
The two stars, who are hopeful that the film will do well, also said that they weren't too concerned if it hit the jackpot at the box-office. "I am happy with this film as an actor and as a creative person. I am proud of this film. I don't care how
This film will see Imran Khan play the love struck boy next door. At a recent interview, the actor said, “I'm drawn to characters who are non-heroic...I like flawed characters, I like to see them grow and change.”
According to director Nikhil Advani, this film needed a 'ballsy' leading lady, that he found in Kangana. He said, "The old ideas about women are slowly changing. It is changing every day! There are ballsy women in film more and more.”
In a recent interview Imran was all praises for Kangana saying, "It may sound pompous but this is the film that we were waiting for as it is a right film for us. I don't think any other actress could have done the role of Payal the way she did."
The film starring Kangana and Imran in leading roles is about new age relationships and Maddy and Payal’s bittersweet love story.
Nikhil recently spoke about his film and the inspiration behind. He said,“The inspiration for me; I have to look at the Indian youth - who are fighting for what they believe!”
It is only natural that the ‘Katti Batti’ team headed over to a college festival to promote their film, as the director had mentioned that he gained inspiration for the film from the young and rebellious teens.
The actors have been heading back to crowded campuses time and time again to promote their film.
