Telangana government appoints TRS leader Srinivas as special advisor

Srinivas, was a senior Congress leader, had joined TRS recently

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday appointed TRS leader D Srinivas as special advisor to the government on inter-state affairs.

The appointment would be for a period of one year initially, a statement from Chief Minister's Office said.

Srinivas, who was a senior Congress leader, had joined TRS recently.

He was PCC president when Congress swept to power in 2004 elections under the leadership of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Srinivas has also served as a minister for a long period in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
