Sachin Tendulkar's village to figure in case study list

Puttamrajuvari Kandriga is the only village in AP to find a place on the list

NellorePuttamrajuvari Kandriga, the village in Andhra Pradesh adopted by former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is among the 35 villages shortlisted by the urban development ministry for a case study in view of the fast pace of development, out of the 697 villages adopted by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members under model village scheme across the nation.
 
Puttamrajuvari Kandriga is the only village in Andhra Pradesh to find a place on the list. 
Three from among the 35 villages will bag national level prizes. 
Tata Institute of Social Sciences has been hired to conduct the case study. Tata Institute of Social Sciences assistant professor S. Srinivas, who studying the village, lauded the officials for developing the village and said the progress was visible and noteworthy.
