THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan late Sunday night took to the Facebook to ask his rivals who ordered the killing of Haneefa after clashes between loyalists of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and home minister Ramesh Chennithala.

Hours later, Congress legislator V. T. Balram posted a point-by-point rejoinder saying only CPM holds committee meeting to decide killings, which was evident in TP Chandrasekharan and Fazal murders.

Mr Vijayan in his Facebook post criticized the Congress for the Chavakkad incident in which the Congress worker was killed. He wondered what would people do when the ruling party itself resorted to murder politics.

“Which court had sentenced him to death?” he asked. “With the KPCC dissolving the local committee, it has admitted it”.

Balram retaliated, addressing him as ‘Dear Sree Pinarayi Vijayan Sir’ and said it was the CPM which planned and executed political murders.

He termed the CPM strongman’s post as “one of the biggest comedies” he has heard in the recent times.

“A similar comedy came from Amit Shahji in Delhi. Special congrats to you both for making Malayalis laugh during this Onam. I can’t believe that you yourself have written this,” Mr Balram wrote.

“If someone is preparing these posts for you, it’d be better to remind them that this is the time of historical auditing.”
