Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Students Joint Action Committee (APSJAC) state general secretary P. Aditya demanded that Mr Ganta Srinivasa Rao should be removed from the office of minister accusing him for the poor situation in colleges and universities in the state as he was behaving irresponsibly.

Addressing a media conference here on Friday, he charged Mr Srinivasa Rao with irresponsibility and apathy at Rishiteswari who committed suicide in Nagarjuna University for alleged ragging.
He lamented on the suicide of Rishiteswari that she could not share her agony resulted due to the heinous ragging from seniors, which ultimately led her to end her life.

Mr Aditya demanded that the state should form a special tribunal with sitting judge, IAS and IPS officers to weed out ragging and elements causing for it from universities and colleges. He also sought the government to abolish the committees constituted with universities officials, which in no way do justice to victims like Rishiteswari. He found fault with Mr Ganta Srinivas Rao alleging him that he is trying to create chaos in the universities in a plan to establish private universities in the state.
