Hyderabad: The court granted five-day police custody of twin murder accused Amit on Thursday. He was taken into custody on Friday afternoon by the Chaitanyapuri police.
Amit who is accused of killing Yamini and Srilekha, was produced before Ranga Reddy court on Wednesday. Police filed a petition in court later and on Wednesday it ordered 14-day remand of the accused. Amit has been shifted to Chaitanyapuri police station for investigations.
“We filed a petition to get his custody on Thursday. The court issued orders on Thursday evening. After completing documentation we took him into custody for further investigation on Friday,” said LB Nagar ACP Venugopal Rao.
