Employees of the online food delivery company Yemeksepeti were in for a huge surprise when their boss, CEO and co-founder Nevzat Aydin, decided to share with them part of the money earned from its sale. Founded 15 years ago, the Turkish start-up successfully delivers over three million meals every month.

Yemeksepeti had been acquired by Germany’s Delivery Hero for a total of $589 million and had inducted Aydin into its executive board as well as allowing him to retain his former position of CEO of the company. The golden-hearted boss decided to motivate his employees and make them part of Yemeksepeti’s success story by sharing a whopping $27 million between 114 of his employees. Not only is the average bonus of $237,000 nearly 150 times the current average monthly pay at the company but it also exceeds the average Wall Street bonus for 2014.

Operating in several countries of the Middle-East region, Yemeksepeti has become of the most successful tech brands in Turkey. Crediting the firm’s success to the hard work of its employees, the generous CEO insists that more success can be achieved only if it is shared with the people.

CNN Money quotes him saying, "I believe in team work and I believe success is much more enjoyable and glorious when shared with the rest of the team."

By ensuring that his employees were duly rewarded for their efforts for his company, Aydin may have definitely earned himself the unofficial title of being the “Best Boss in The World”.
