20 modern bus shelters in Kochi
The bus shelters will have high quality seats and will play FM music from 6 am to 6 pm
KOCHI: The Ernakulam Assembly constituency will sport a new look soon with 20 hi-tech environment-friendly beautiful bus shelters coming at various points in the constituency.
These shelters are being built using the asset-special development funds of Hibi Eden MLA and each one will have a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh. The first bus shelter will come on MG Road.
The bus shelters will have high quality seats and will play FM music from 6 am to 6 pm. They will have various types of mobile chargers, laptop and mobile rest pads, magazine and newspaper kiosks, 24x7 wifi internet facility, lawn made with Mexican grass, Royal Palm trees, golden cypress plant, nandyarvattom or crape jasmine plants and attractive floor tiles.
The mobile chargers, FM Radio and WiFi in the bus shelters will be working on solar power. There will be a special USB audio system to take government communications to the people. The special bus shelters are being built by SIDCO, said Hibi Eden in a release.
