Annakodi… reaches 100 day milestone
The serial has actress Shruti who has shifted from the silver screen to the small screen

Recently, ace director Bharathiraja came out with the film Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum. Cheyyar Ravi, who has done a few Tamil films and is now a name to reckon with in television, has named his mega soap Annakodiyum Ainthupengalum, which recently completed its 100th episode.
The serial has actress Shruti who has shifted from the silver screen to the small screen, playing the central character Gowri.
Looks like Shruti is being typecast! If she played the daughter of a first wife who suffered cruel treatment from her stepmom in Thendral, in Annakodi she essays the daughter of the second wife and faces several problems in the society. The actress, known for the soft spoken yet assertive characters in earlier mega soaps, will be seen in the strong role of a lawyer who fights for justice and woman empowerment. The serial is on air on Zee from Monday to Friday at 7 pm.
