Kollam: 8-year-old boy killed in school bus mishap
Boy was rushed to a private hospital at Chathannoor but was declared brought dead

Kollam: Kevin Prakash alias Kittu, 8, a Class III student of Chirakkara Raghavananda Central School here, was killed in a school bus accident at Kalluvathukkal on Tuesday. He was the only son of Prakash and Kumari of Uthram, Kunnumpuram, Kalluvathukkal.
The accident occurred when the school bus fell into a small channel by the side of the road while it was trying to give way to a vehicle that came from the opposite direction. The bus tilted and came to a halt after hitting an electric post. Kevin, who was waiting near the front door, was thrown out and crushed under the wheels.
The boy was rushed to a private hospital at Chathannoor but was declared brought dead. Parippally police registered a case against the bus driver Babu who is absconding.
