Google to shut down Google+ Photos from August 1

Google has announced that it will begin shutting down its Google+ Photos app on August 1. According to the Techcrunch.com, Google+ Photos will begin shutting down first on Android and then on the web and iOS.

The users also have been seeing a prompt inside the Google+ Photos Android app suggesting them to download the new Google Photos service. If the users fail to switch ahead of August 1, Google says their photos and videos will be available to them using Google Takeout.
