Fire in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb, rows of shops affected

Mumbai: A row of shops caught fire in one of Mumbai's Bandra suburb on Tuesday. The fire reportedly began at a shoe store on Linking Road.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The fire brigade promptly sprung into action to contain the fire, according to eyewitnesses at the spot.

According to TV reports, shops were shut when the fire started early Tuesday morning. The fire is quickly spreading, however more details are awaited.

Ironically, the city was lashed by heavy rain this morning.
