Andhra Pradesh to get 1,000 MW plant soon

The first phase of 250 MW will be completed by March 2016

Hyderabad: The Centre has assured Chief Minister Naidu that the entire 1,000 MW generated by solar plants in Kurnool district will be for AP. This promise was made during Mr Naidu’s meeting with Union power minister Piyush Goyal.

This will be the second 100 per cent dedicated 1000 MW power plant after the 1040 MW Simhadri plant. The Centre has also assured to dedicate 90% of the Anantapur Ultra Mega Solar Park for Andhra Pradesh. The first phase of 250 MW will be completed by March 2016 and the remaining by December 2017.
