62.5 hour countdown set for India’s workhorse rocket

The launch has been scheduled for 9.58 pm on July 10 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre

Nellore: The stage is set for the 62.5 hour countdown for the launch of India’s workhorse rocket with its heaviest payload on July 10. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle will carry into space a payload of 1,440 kg comprising three DMC3 commercial earth observation satellites and two smaller satellites from the UK. The launch has been scheduled for 9.58 pm on July 10 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, 90 km from here.

The countdown will begin at 7.28 am on Wednesday.
