‘Not sacred of heights’

Tamannaah says playing Queen Avantika in Baahubali has rid her of her fear for heights. “My character has lots of action in the film. Before this, I was scared of heights but now, I have overcome the fear. I am not an adventurous person, but in the film, I had to jump a lot from heights. I can easily do an action film now without any fear,” says Tamannaah.

She adds that Baahubali has been the most challenging film in her career. “We had to perform with a lot of imagination in most scenes because of the graphics that would be included later. I still haven’t seen the film so I don’t know how the scenes will look with the graphics,” she adds.

She says her most memorable shoot was in Bulgaria. “We shot a hectic schedule at Bulgaria in -10 degrees. My birthday was also celebrated on the sets at Bulgaria and the unit made it very memorable for me,” the actress says.

Tamannaah says that the film will re-launch her in all languages. “The film is releasing on a huge scale and is associated with many big personalities in all languages, like Karan Johar in Hindi and Gnanavel Raja in Tamil. So it’s going to be a re-launch for me, especially in Hindi,” she says.

Tamannah also feels that criticism is as important as plaudits. “When I started doing Hindi films, I did not know much about fashion. I got to know about it when people criticised my fashion sense. Criticism is important for an actress and it depends on how you take it. I take it positively and try to learn from it,” Tamannaah says.
