User-friendly interface and easy accessibility makes WhatsApp the most preferable  social messaging app in today’s world. Be it a minor bug fix or a new design of UI, WhatsApp fans are keen on knowing what’s the latest update!

Recently, WhatsApp released an updated version to improve its call service globally. While some media reports do reveal the future plans of WhatsApp, some others have spread online rumors as well.

At present, reports state that WhatsApp developers are testing a new ‘Like’ button, to help you like photos that are sent by your near and dear ones. If this enters the reality phase, Facebook is definitely influencing WhatsApp to some extent.

WhatsApp is also rumored to introduce a new tab that will allow its users to mark read messages as ‘unread’. This in turn questions the use of blue ticks in the future.

As of now, there is no official statement from WhatsApp yet, but these features seem to be available only to the members of the WhatsApp Beta Program.
