HyderabadThe much touted Rs 5 crore Mercedes Benz luxury bus purchased by Telangana government for Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao to take up district-tours, developed a technical snag on the very first day of his tour to his home district Medak on Saturday.

An upset CM left the bus in the city and went to Medak in his regular convoy. Mr Rao was supposed to travel by this bus to Medak to take part in the Haritha Haaram project.
Soon after the bus was started and air-conditioning was switched on, it developed a technical snag due to a wiring problem.

Mr Rao also expressed displeasure over the seating system and public address system in the bus and sought rectification measures. Following this, the officials shifted the bus to the company's service station in Hayathnagar for repair and renovation.

The bus was transported from Chandigarh on a truck to Hyderabad last Thursday. The bus was sent to Yadadri temple on Friday where special pujas were performed. It was kept ready on Saturday for the CM’s tour to Medak, Karimnagar, Adilabad and Nizamabad. People had thronged to see the Rs 5 crore bus.
