CoimbatoreThe PMK leader Dr S.Ramadoss has alleged that the Jayalalaithaa government had not implemented most of the welfare schemes announced under the Vision 2023 plan. The PMK leader has sought a white paper on the implementation schemes so that the people of TN will assess the performance of the government.

The PMK founder was in Coimbatore to inspect the preparations for the Kongu Zone Conference  scheduled for July 12.
In 2103, the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had announced various schemes under the Vision 2023. In the last two years, there is little progress in the schemes.

Ramadoss alleged that the industrial development in Tamil Nadu has hit an all-time low under the AIADMK regime.  Industries have shifted to the neighbouring states of Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana where TN based industries are being lured with subsidies and attractive schemes which the TN government has failed to provide.

The Coimbatore city with 17 lakh population is in need of a medium capacity metro rail system that can transport 40,000 passengers every day, especially during peak hours, he added.
