Soori is sure of bringing down the roof

Soori is one actor who benefited with Santhanam’s decision to play only lead characters. The comedian now acts alongside most A-listers including Ajith and Suriya, and has a dozen films in his kitty. He will be sharing the screen with Narain in Kathukutti.

The movie is directed by the journo-turned-filmmaker Era Saravanan and is set in Tanjore. Talking about his role in the film, Soori says, “I play the character Ginger in Kathukutti. This film will showcase a different side of mine. Along with the onlookers, I also used to burst into laughter during shooting. It was so much fun even while dubbing my portions.” He adds, “The comic scenes are so lively that I would feel their hilarity even while dubbing. It makes you cheerful. Ther’s a scene where I and an old woman enter into a fracas  it has shaped up extraordinarily well.

I am sure this lengthy scene will bring down the roof.” While Srushti Dange is cast opposite Narain, actress Kadhal Sandhya will be shaking a leg for a special song. Ace filmmaker Bharathiraja’s brother Jayaraj has been roped in for a crucial role.
