Admission order for medical courses issued

Chennai: Health minister C. Vijaya Baskar handed over the admission orders for medical courses at the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Specialty Hospital here on Friday. The process began
following the dismissal of a case pending before the Madras high court.

Health secretary  J. Radhakrishnan said, “Admission orders will be handed over to the selected students round-the-clock, including on holidays, at the super specialty hospital at the Omandurar Estate.” Facilities for the stay of the students from other districts were also being done.

A total of 2,939 students were chosen at the counselling for the medical course for  2015-2016. They were 2,257 seats in government medical colleges, 597 seats in  private medical colleges and 85 in dental colleges.
