Vidya Balan would love play Charlie Chaplin in a film

She was gifted a portrait of herself in Chaplin's avatar at a recent function

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who was recently bestowed an honorary doctorate for her contribution to Indian cinema and for empowering women through her roles, has now been immortalized in a Chaplin avatar!
 
The actress inaugurated ‘Chaplin Lines’, a special exhibition that honoured and commemorated Charlie Chaplin, the legend of satire and comedy, celebrating 100 years since his appearance on screen. Vidya was gifted a customized portrait of herself in Chaplin's avatar.
 
At the event, Vidya revealed that she was a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin, and is also keen to do a movie on the legend. She was quoted as saying "I would love to do a Charlie Chaplin movie. I loved Sridevi as Charlie Chaplin in Mr. India. He has been a huge inspiration in my life."
 
 
Vidya Balan was special guest at the event where over 200 celebrated cartoonists and caricature artists displayed their pieces of work in the legend's honour.
