Chennai: The high voltage campaign by AIADMK leaders and ministers came to an end in the labour dominated R K Nagar assembly constituency on Thursday. While the ministers made multiple visits to the areas earmarked for them, the voters were also witness to periodic visits from the rank and file of the ruling AIADMK.

“The local corporation councillor came calling this morning followed by two state ministers and post lunch two independents came on a door to door campaign. My afternoon was busy with the visits,” said central government employee E. Dhinakar, who resides in Washermenpet.
