Mumbai: Sharad Pawar passed the vote test with flying colours in the biennial Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) elections. He was re-elected against vice president Vijay Patil here on Wednesday.

The grand old man of MCA, who has been president for 14 years, received 172 votes as opposed to Patil’s 145.

Patil – the owner of the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai – has been associated with MCA for four years too. But this time, the vice-president's post went to former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar and Ashish Shelar.
