UPSC announces Combined Defence Services exam results

Officers have been given the liberty to exercise their choices afresh within 15 days of the list.

New Delhi: The results of Combined Defence Services examination were announced on Wednesday by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) with 8,488 candidates qualifying for interview.

The Combined Defence Services examination (I)-2015 was held by the UPSC on February 15, this year. 8,488 candidates have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Defence Ministry, an official release said.

These interviews are for admissions to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, (140th course), Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) training course, all of them commencing in January, 2016.

Besides, admission to 103rd Short Service Commission course (for men) and 17th SSC for women (non-technical) course at Officers' Training Academy, Chennai, commencing in April, 2016, will also be decided on the basis of the interviews result, it said.

The marks-sheet of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the UPSC's website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result of interview and will remain available on the website for a period of 60 days, the Commission said.

The UPSC has a facilitation counter near examination hall building in its campus in New Delhi. Candidates may obtain any information or clarification regarding the examination on working days between 10am to 5pm, in person or over telephone Nos 011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543.

Candidates can also obtain information regarding their result by accessing UPSC website -- www.upsc.gov.in.
