Yadadri to get major facelift

HyderabadThe famous Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri in Nalgonda district is all set for a major facelift on the lines of Tirumala and the Vatican.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and pontiff Chinna Jeeyar Swami set the ball rolling for taking up major developmental works on the 14-acre hill temple and also on 2,000 acres around the foot hills on Saturday.
 
The Governor, who was accompanied by his wife Vimla Narasimhan, unveiled a plaque on the temple premises to formally launch developmental works for which Rs 100 crore has already been sanctioned and more funds are in the pipeline.
 
The master plan includes a new temple complex, a new gold plated Vimana Gopuram on the lines of Tirumala gold Gopuram, construction of 200 choultries atop and 500 on the  foothill, a new kalyana mandapam, mandapam for Satyanarayana puja, shopping complex, parking for 200 vehicles uphill and 500 vehicles downhill. The project is expected to be completed in three years.
