At least he didn't crash a plane: Rakhi Sawant on Salman Khan verdict

Mumbai: Weeks after the verdict on Bollywood star Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case was announced, actress Rakhi Sawant has voiced her opinion on the controversial court case.

On May 6, Salman was convicted by the sessions court here of ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’ and sentenced to five years in jail.

On May 8, the High Court granted him bail and suspended his sentence pending the hearing and disposal of his appeal against the conviction.

At a recent interaction with the media Rakhi Sawant expressed her views on the verdict, defending ‘Bhai’ and saying he was completely innocent. She also went on to say, “If Salman Khan was sentenced to prison, the film industry would suffer a lot. But if he crashed a plan, or planted a bomb, then I would completely support the law.”
