New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government is coming under pressure to overturn the UPA government’s decision to open multi-brand retail to foreign direct investment.

The RSS-affiliated Swadeshi Jagran Manch and small traders urged the government to scrap the policy allowing 51 per cent FDI in multi-brand retail. In a letter to Prime Minister, SJM national co-convenor Ashwani Mahajan said the Manch was pained by the BJP retaining the FDI policy.
