THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Lok Ayukta on Friday recorded actor Srividya’s brother’s statement accusing Mr K.B. Ganesh Kumar MLA of not executing the will of the late actor.

The bench comprising  Lok Ayukta Justice Pius C. Kuriakose and Upa Lok Ayukta Justice K.P. Balachandran expressed doubts whether the case would come under the purview of the Lok Ayukta as Mr Ganesh Kumar was authorised by Srividya to execute the will on a personal basis and not because he was a public servant.

Counsel  for the petitioner had maintained that the personal life of public servants should also be clean. The case was posted to June 19 for further hearing.

Srividya’s brother Sankara Raman said in his statement that Mr Ganesh Kumar had sabotaged the will given by Srividya. A trust that was formed as per the will remained only on paper, he said adding that he came to know about the trust formation through the media.

Srividya’s will had mandated  a trust for assisting children from economically weak families, forming a dance and music college and giving '10 lakh  from her assets to her brother’s children.

Mr Sankara Raman had called on Chief Minister  Oommen Chandy and Home Minister  Ramesh Chennithala the other day seeking a probe against Mr Ganesh Kumar. Palakkad native A.P. Raveendranath had lodged the petition against Mr Ganesh Kumar.  Mr Sankara Raman is a witness.
