DAVANGERE: Big guns of the Congress are set to launch an offensive against the BJP government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a rally scheduled here Saturday to mark the second anniversary of the state government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Leading from the front would be party leader in Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, general secretary in-charge of Karnataka Digvijay Singh, former Union ministers Jairam Ramesh and Ghulam Nabi Azad.

They would make most of the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the state government and send across a message to the people that it has pulled out all stops to develop the state. It would also serve as the ideal platform for the party to launch its campaign for forthcoming Gram Panchayat polls.
