Following in the footsteps of his elder brother Madan Karky, Kabilan Vairamuthu, the younger son of veteran lyricist and poet Vairamuthu, has now turned a dialogue writer for films. The 32-year-old lyricist-poet is treading new territory with the film Meen, which is billed as a socio-thriller that will be helmed by debutant Haribhaskar.

According to a source, Haribhaskar was impressed with Kabilan’s novel Meinigari and asked him to write the dialogue for his maiden venture. After hearing the narration by Haribhaskar, Kabilan agreed to be a part of Meen. While young composer-actor G.V.Prakash will score music for the film, the search for the lead actors is on. Kabilan is now working on around 20 films as a lyricist.
